Tasks of the School Psychological Counseling Center

The School Psychological Counseling Center has been established as an independent and easily accessible counseling center for the citizens of the Oberberg District. Access to counseling is voluntary and free of charge.

School psychological counseling is based on the individual starting situations of the students, parents, teachers, and schools seeking advice. Our counseling aims to support the self-responsibility and self-regulation abilities of children, families, and schools by helping participants clarify their perspectives, develop various solution ideas, and agree on what actions to take. A high degree of transparency and openness is necessary for the success of the counseling process.

The professional staff of the School Psychological Counseling Center are graduate psychologists who have acquired special qualifications in counseling, diagnostics, and support in the field of education. The staff of the school psychological counseling center are bound by confidentiality—even towards the school.
