The historic castle complex in Nümbrecht, with centuries of history, is managed by the Oberbergischer Kreis and is now a place of encounter with exhibitions, events, and creative offerings for all generations.

The museum at Homburg Castle has been in existence since 1926 and houses an extremely diverse collection of over 20,000 cultural and historical objects related to the Oberberg region, which are displayed in changing exhibitions in the castle. In addition, there are regular special exhibitions on various topics. The museum offers a wide range of formats, from guided tours to children's birthday parties.

The diverse programs of the Museum Workshop at Homburg Castle are creatively designed throughout the year: From varied holiday programs for children to inspiring after-work workshops for adults, there is something for everyone. Here, the joy of shared creativity takes center stage.

Regular events such as concerts and open-air events are held in the Orangerie and on the castle grounds. Whether classical, jazz, Kölsch rock, or the traditional medieval market – the program is as diverse as the audience. The Biological Station Oberberg, located on the premises, also offers a variety of events around Homburg Castle. Additionally, selected rooms at Homburg Castle can be rented for private events such as birthdays and weddings.
